What I really do
I work to help companies attract, retain and grow the best customer and employee relationships possible by helping them realize the importance of every customer touch and the power of customer insight to both build brand and drive response. Digital and direct channels are a means to an end.

How I maintain sanity
Maine — every chance I get. I have a little house on a river where I go to refresh, recharge and think.

Where I think "it's" headed
The future is bright for consumers, murky for progressive marketers and grim for traditionalists. Consumer control is here and the stronghold will tighten. This is the real game-changing opportunity and it is more far-reaching than simply User Generated Content (UGC). Relevance is no longer a buzzword; it is a price of entry. Marketers who ground themselves in customer insight, submerge themselves in the consumer's environment, realize that data fuels not only accountability but creativity, and are really willing to pull the camera back to see how all touches build brand and drive behavior will win.
