01.24.2008 — Mullen Wins Kingsdown Mattress Business

Mullen is the new agency-of-record for Kingsdown, Inc., the innovative manufacturer and distributor of Kingsdown mattresses and sleep systems. Mullen won the business after demonstrating its mattress category experience and full range of marketing services capabilities. The agency will handle brand planning, advertising, media, digital, design and public relations for the Mebane, North Carolina based company.

“We were impressed with Mullen’s extensive experience in our core business channels as well as their general background in durable consumer products,” said Jim Ross, vice president of marketing for Kingsdown. “We’re excited by the agency’s vision and passion for helping us redefine and expand the Kingsdown brand.”

Mullen begins work effective immediately. There was no incumbent agency-of-record, as Kingsdown previously worked with a variety of marketing agency consultants. Media budgets will be determined as part of a collaborative strategic planning process between Kingsdown and Mullen.
