01.02.2007 — Mullen Names John Moore Director of Ideas and Innovation

Mullen announced today that John Moore has been named to the newly-created position of director of ideas and innovation. In his new role, Moore will be a catalyst for agency-wide, cross-discipline breakthrough idea and programming development. Moore, who has been with Mullen for nine years, was most-recently senior vice president, group media director in the agency’s mediaHUB unit. He has been the leader in developing innovative, multi-platform marketing programs for clients including XM Satellite Radio, Match.com, Stanley and H&R Block TaxCut.

“In today’s marketing services marketplace, arguably the two most important ways of creating meaningful differentiation involve the development of superior ideas and innovation,” said Steve Calder, executive vice president, executive media director, mediaHUB. “John has developed a strong track record for creating innovative ideas that have actually gotten implemented and he will be tasked with developing even more innovative ideas that cross the boundaries of creative and media, as well as online, offline and emerging media platforms.”

“In the new media environment, where the consumer is gaining increasing power, the best and most effective ideas emanate from cross-disciplinary interaction,” said Moore. “Mullen is uniting media, creative and digital expertise, to create ideas that work across all platforms and break through in a chaotic and rapidly evolving marketplace.”

Moore developed XM’s commercial-free, multi-platform sponsorship of Nip/Tuck on FX, as well the brand’s recent musical tie-ins with leading prime-time network shows Dancing with the Stars, Cold Case and Las Vegas. Moore was also the leader in developing Match.com’s integrated branded-content sponsorship of the TBS original comedy series My Boys.
