03.04.2008 — Mullen Appoints New Managing Partner, Executive Creative Director
Mullen announced today that Mark Wenneker will join the agency as managing partner and executive creative director for its Wenham office, responsible for leading day-to-day advertising creative initiatives. He will report to Edward Boches, chief creative officer.
Wenneker, most recently a group creative director at Goodby, Silverstein and Partners, has produced an extensive body of award-winning work that has helped shape brands for clients that include Saturn, Hyundai, Comcast, HBO, Saab, HP, Doritos and Budweiser, among others.
At Mullen, Wenneker will serve as a member of Mullen’s executive committee and become a key leader in defining and shaping the agency’s creative product.
“Mark has all the qualities we need as we continually elevate and evolve our creative product,” said Boches. “He brings great brand experience, an enviable reel and a reputation for being inclusive and collaborative, not to mention the experience and pedigree that comes from nine years as a creative leader in a great agency.”
“For almost a decade I’ve had the privilege of shaping the work and the brand image for some great clients,” said Wenneker. “This is a chance to actually help shape an agency. Mullen has a vision, a management team and an entrepreneurial spirit that makes it an awfully desirable place for a creative person to work.”
In addition to his most recent position at Goodby, Silverstein and Partners, Wenneker previously held art director positions at the Martin Agency and at McCann Erickson, San Francisco.
