09.27.2007 — Mullen Appoints Chief Strategy Officer

Mullen announced today that David Duncan has joined the agency in the new role of Chief Strategy Officer. Duncan will lead the brand planning group in Mullen’s Wenham and Detroit offices and, as a member of the agency’s executive committee, will play a key leadership role in developing breakthrough strategy and creative solutions for new and existing clients. Duncan comes to Mullen from Leo Burnett, where he served as global planning director. Previously Duncan was executive vice president, managing partner for brand planning, in the darkGrey unit of Grey Worldwide in New York. He has more than 20 years experience in the marketing profession having represented numerous high-profile brands, including Samsung, Nokia, Yahoo, Nestle and Cadbury, among others. Duncan has a proven track-record for driving client success and agency business development.

A native of Canada, Duncan has worked at the Bates, McCann, Publicis and Saatchi & Saatchi offices in Toronto. On the client-side, Duncan has marketing experience with Canadian Airlines and Choice Hotels International.
