BrandBowl – complete rankings of the brands on Super Bowl XLIV

Posted by David Swaebe on 02/11/10

Mullen and Radian6 wanted to share the final rankings of all the brands that were evaluated in BrandBowl2010.

The rankings below were captured during the period of 6:00 – 11:00 PM eastern time on Super Sunday (that was game time). The methodology we used to calculate the rankings is explained on the BrandBowl site. The rankings reflect both volume of chatter and relative sentiment (positive/negative) and are based on nearly 100,000 tweets captured from 66,000 Twitter accounts. We have analytical dashboard data for all the Super Bowl brands if any of you brand managers would like to see?

Really interesting results. So cool that Mullen got to get this together w/ Radian6!

Now, though a lot of these ads may have been the most talked about during the SuperBowl, it'd be interesting to see what the buzz is around these brands afterwards. Within the first 24-48 hours, have these brands and their really expensive spots created a positive perception around their brand? Are the spots themselves memorable?

It takes a lot to create buzz, but it takes that much more to create a timeless idea that will make an impact on your consumer and their perception of your brand.
