Jason Black named executive creative director in NC office

jason-black-photo_postJason Black has been promoted to Executive Creative Director in Mullen’s North Carolina office after spending the last two years as the Group Creative Director there.

In his new position, Jason will set the strategic creative direction for Mullen clients across all communication disciplines. He also will play a critical leadership role in leveraging new technologies, social marketing and connectivity planning to develop more innovative, holistic campaigns for clients.

“Jason is a new-age creative leader: his digital and social marketing savvy have been proven to drive collaboration across all communications disciplines, seamlessly integrating traditional advertising, digital, mobile, social and PR,” said John Fitzgerald, president of Mullen North Carolina. “He’s created distinctive work during his 18 years in the business for brands like Nintendo, Alaska Airlines, Tower Records, SunTrust, New Balance, CSX Transportation, Bank of America and La Quinta Inns & Suites.”

Aside from bringing an award-winning and noteworthy list of client experience to the agency, Jason is a passionate colleague who understands the greatest asset of an agency is its people.

“I’m ecstatic about my new role. I love this agency and the people who work here,” Jason said. “It’s such an exciting time to be in this industry. We’re seeing client appetites for creative that includes new media rapidly increase and we’re perfectly positioned to meet those needs and help them succeed.”

As the new ECD, Black has already proven that his creative leadership will yield positive results for the agency with several new client wins in the past couple weeks for Mullen North Carolina, including being named agency of record for Krispy Kreme, Men’s Wearhouse, K&G Fashion Superstore and Kumon Learning Centers.
