I might suggest segmenting this chart out a little more clearly -- A number of these channels at multiple levels apply to multiple forms of marketing (Traditional, Digital and Emerging). Oh, and some of them are hybrids of these forms of marketing. Its pretty confusing...

Bryan:
Agree, we should call it digital. The chart is a year or two old now, and we probably should update it. But people keep requesting it. Seems it serves a purpose of reminding marketers that it's complicated out there (as if we need reminding) and helps foster discussion. Feel free to download it and pass it around if you want.

What a great chart! Thanks for sharing.

I do take issue with the use of the word online. Shouldn't we call it digital? This would reorganize this part of the ecosystem to include search, display advertising, websites, social media, gaming, applications, eCRM, and brand content.

Digital could also play a role in other spokes including retail, public relations, experiential, OOH.
