Back by popular demand: the new marketing ecosystem poster

mullen-marketing-ecosystem
We neglected to put it up when we launched our new site, but due to continued requests, here it is.

The new marketing ecosystem can help you weave a successful strategy from different forms of media and recognize how — just like in nature — everything is connected to everything else.  Check it out.

Feel free to download it (3Mb PDF). And, at the sake of sounding like we’re selling, if you need help navigating this intimidating landscape, remember, you’ve got friends here who do that.

What a great chart! Thanks for sharing.

I do take issue with the use of the word online. Shouldn't we call it digital? This would reorganize this part of the ecosystem to include search, display advertising, websites, social media, gaming, applications, eCRM, and brand content.

Digital could also play a role in other spokes including retail, public relations, experiential, OOH.

Agree, we should call it digital. The chart is a year or two old now, and we probably should update it. But people keep requesting it. Seems it serves a purpose of reminding marketers that it's complicated out there (as if we need reminding) and helps foster discussion. Feel free to download it and pass it around if you want.

Great! I didn't know about your concept before. Hence, I try to create a social media ecosystem too
